MarineTraffic - Ship Tracking App Reviews

Good app to track vessels. However I miss the dimensions of the vessels in the short info menue when you choose a target.

On the west coast of Canada, theres plenty of ships. Now I can look them all up and satisfy my curiosity. I also have Flightradar24 and recommend it.

Few small yachts have AIS because of the expense and complexity. This app provides the same capability for a fraction of the cost provided the area has cellphone data coverage (most coastal and inland cruising areas). I can now identify many raw radar targets and immediately compare their tracks/destination to my route. Now, knowing the targets call sign (provided by the app) conflicts can be quickly resolved with a direct bridge to bridge VHF call.

What a neat way to follow your favorite cruise ships as they travel world. Great IOS interface.

We enjoy watching the ship traffic go by, and it is fun to know all that info about each ship.

I purchased this app a couple of years ago and that version was sketchy - always hanging and often failed to update data correctly. I tried to update the app without success and then decided to spend again on a new version. I deleted the old version and repurchased the new version which seems to work much better. So why did I have to pay twice to get something that works?

App often doesnt work. Notifications work sporadically at best. Waste of money. And I still get ads and theres no way to contact anyone about the app.

This app is great. worth every penny if your curious to see whats floating around!!

This is an excellent program. I use it daily to watch traffic outside my living room window.

Great app. I work in the shipping industry and it really helps to know when to expect the ships. Just a little lag sometime when scrolling around. I highly recommend the purchase.

Wonderful App, I use it daily , the optional augmented reality feature is very cool as well!

A bit slow wih updating fotos and sometimes you get completely wrong location info regarding the whereabout of a ship. But so far it works well for me.

Use it all the time to keep my self up to date with ships positions.

This is such a great app for us to learn about the marine navigation world around us. I can now understand and get to know the metal beasts that travel in front of our place.

Really like it! Only negative point is the missing iPhone 6 support (in terms of resolution)
