Incredibly useful

I have been amazed at the value of this app and the marinetraffic.com site it shares. I provide training support for the Navy, and I can say that it is a great resource. I just wish the filters would give a better indication of wether each was active or not, I have to toggle each occasionally to tell. I really like the shipping density graphics as well. An alert for Search and Rescue (SAR) AIS within a selectable range, (ex. <200 nm) would be extremely valuable.
